Important 2026 tax return deadlines for small businesses
Small businesses generally file tax returns quarterly using the government’s Making Tax Digital (MTD) system. The four VAT tax periods are:
- 1st January – 31st March
- 1st April – 30th June
- 1st July – 30th September
- 1st October – 31st December
